Annual Feast of the Infant Jesus at Pushpashrama – First Day Novena Mass
January 5, 2017 Thursday – The spiritual preparation for the annual feast of the Infant Jesus shrine at Pushpashrama, Mysore commenced with the flag hoisting at 5-00pm. There were three masses in different languages. The first mass was in Tamil at 5-00 pm presided over by Fr Valentine Kumar. The Kannada Mass was at 6-00 pm officiated by Fr Alphonse Britto, OCD and the English mass was at 7-00 pm celebrated by Fr Dominic Vas, OCD. The theme of the first day novena was “Disciple of Christ – Life of Faith”. The liturgy was diligently systematized by the Pushpashrama brothers under the leadership of Fr Oswald Crasta. Different groups were invited for the choir, such as – Tamil group for Tamil Mass, B. M. Shrinagar parishioners for Kannada Mass and Audry and companions for the English mass. After each mass food was served for all the devotees of the Infant Jesus.
